And we're here!

Tired and Grateful.

Flew all night.

Got into Greece at 4:00 pm. Carolyn got rent a car. Carolyn drove us through Athens to an Airbnb. Daniel and Amber and Lucas walked to bring us our supper of Gyros. Yum!

gyro, a Greek dish of roasted meat served in a pita, usually with tomato, onion, and tzatziki, a cold, creamy sauce made from yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and various spices. Gyro meat—typically lamb, beef, pork, or chicken—is roasted on a vertical skewer and sliced off in thin, crispy shavings as it cooks.

We got royal treatment coming off the plane because a man pushed Mom on the wheelchair all the way to the baggage claim where her walker was with the checked luggage. When the customs guy was looking at Mom’s passport, Dad said, "We've been married 62 years." The man was congratulating Dad and Mom and then said, "And you have two beautiful daughters." Someone said we're taking good care of them and then Mom said, "And I cared for them."

Later, at the Airbnb, Lucas was his charming self.

When I sent the family this picture, Judy messaged, "What???!!!! - Dad and Mom aren't flat in bed?!! Cathie looks more tired than they do!”

Daniel says to sleep in tomorrow so we’ll see how this goes!
